Here we actually do something similar to a rain dance. We perform a prayer asking for rain.

Why would you ask for rain unless you really need it for farmers..

Rain waters the grass and trees. Rain cleans the air of dust and dirt. Rain fills the reservoirs so people can have water to cook, clean, bathe, and drink.

It's not just the farmers that need the rain. Besides the sound of the rain on the shed roof helps me to sleep.

Well, we don't even ask for rain for anything unless it gets seriously, seriously bad. We are suppose to work for what we want before we ask for it as a help

Last week the peak temp was 98. The heat index was 118. I stepped outside to take a 90 second walk to the café and my tee shirt was soaked by the time I got there. It was like walking in to syrup.

My friends here keep asking me if I've been flying my models. In those temps? You've got to be kidding. I'd be sun burned and having a heat stroke 10 minutes out.

I can't wait for fall.
