Less of a question and more of a statement

Sounds like exactly what I have experienced as well.


You gotta love AMD! I have known folks who worked for AMD and also Intel, and seen a little bit behind the curtains at both of their local offices here in town. The AMD people always seemed so laid back & happy, the Intel people were in what nearly looked like a concentration camp of cubicles...

They aren't identical, the bad one is 6 pin to 6 pin.

The good one is 8 pin to 6 or 8 pin.

The worst bit is, had the 6 cable you used have been plugged into the 8 pin port (red) then it would have worked fine, so the port which looks like it should be used didn't work, and the port which looks like it had too many pins would have actually worked!

Because f*** logic :D

You can't get that six pin into an 8 pin, because of the little tab lock placement.
