software transfer

so wait, let me get this straight, you want me to buy the same exact computer, to just fix my laptop

not exacly, it's you who wants to do that!

But the problem with this, is that i wanted to keep the stuff on my old laptop, like the drive, software, hardware, and other computer systems

If you just take your hard drive out and put it in a new PC then windows will detect multiple hardware changes, and possibly not work at all. so your only road is to not change hardware (e.g. buy all the same hardware).

Personally, I'd take the laptop with the broken screen and plug a monitor into it and just use it as a PC, or as a file server in my house, then get a different PC to use day to day - it's probably not going to be rewarding to spend more keeping the same system.
(a new laptop is probably cheaper than repairing, and will probably be faster etc)
