I would like to upgrade my ram as it is all I can afford at the moment and was wondering what I should get as I'm unsure as to what my not so good motherboard will support.

Can't find any real info on your board, do you still have the manual it would have come with? (longshot)

Those are really low memory speeds, looks like the PC it's self shipped with 600-800MHz memory, whereas the lowest DDR3 kits you'll find will be 1333MHz, and these are getting hard to find at 1600MHz becomes the new low-end.

Looks like that's running at 1600MHz (dual data rate remember), I haven't found any board details either, you need to see the max capacity of the board really.

I refuse to believe that it can't be upgraded more than 8gb. I haven't seen a limit below that on a desktop for a very long time. And the PC is not older than 2012 (The socket is from 2012). So lets go with that. It's plenty.
a 2x4 kit is what you need. Running at 1600-1866mhz with some better Cas latency.

Something like this will do fine.

It's CasL-9 running at 1600mhz using only 1.5V. Good price aswell. 50 USD.
