Security issues on p2p

Are you a Federal agent trying to discourage use of P2P? You keep asking the same bloody question over and over. Last time it was about the share folder in LimeWire.

Yes, if you download a "poisoned" file you "could", "possibly", get infected with malware and/or a virus that could be programmed to do just about anything known to man to your computer.

If you are that bloody paranoid, don't download anything. If you insist in P2P activities then get a POS old worn out computer and do your P2P on that. If it gets slapped with something bad just wipe the drive and start over. Do your personal stuff on another computer. I have another laptop that's got some miles on it I do questionable stuff on. When I get blipped I just wipe it and start over.
Matter of fact check Newegg for refurbished computers for under 200 bucks.
