The New MacBook

I was looking at the new MacBook (gold silver gray) with 1.2 Core M CPU and want to know if would be powerful enough to run Adobe Illustrator CS6/CC

other then that, just basic web/email/office will be things I will use

The Core M CPU is a low profile CPU. You should not buy a computer with that CPU for any work purpose. It's meant for people that just need a good but cheap computer to do their mails and web browsing. That's why i am literally blown away by the fact that apple have chosen that CPU for an ultrabook that expensive. The point of that CPU is to be cheap and energy efficient.

Go for the Macbook Air instead.

ok that was what I was thinking.... I don't really use it heavy as my 2010 Air with a 1.4 core 2 duo and 2gb of ram works great for my usage of illustrator... never slows down but I only need to use that till June when I go into Computer IT for collage

but i'm still trying to deside on a Lenovo Thinkpad or air/pro I like both....
