small speaker amp

Hey I tried to attach those wires to the audio line in jack on my radio clock thing. It didn't work just static. Iv made this diagram I think it's close to done but I'm a little confused can you tell me what you think. I guess the line in would be the load. Also you told me that i should use a guitar amp earlier. I used the clock radio because I already had it. Is it possible that connecting those wires directly to the guitar amp could have a different result? Thanks for all your help by the way.

The diagram doesn't make sense. All it showed a ground wire hooked to an NPN transistor and nothing on positive wire.

If you want to use your clock radio hook the positive wire to the terminal on the volume knob and ground wire on ground. Use a probe on the terminals on the volume pot and when you hear a buzz you found it. You have to be touching the probe to make it work.

There may be two terminals that will buzz, one will be controlled by the knob and the other is straight to the amp.
