Finally went to the range today

It's been quite a while since I've shot at the range and today I went.

I picked up 5 boxes of Monarch 223 and shot two boxes with my MP15 carbine. It's cheap steel cased ammo but I'll be darned they shot good. Very good accuracy but I only shot at 25 yards because I only have iron sights.

That's 8 rounds of five shots each with 1" to 1.5" groups. Good enough for me.

It's my HD weapon so sighted in at 25 yards should do it for the baddies.

I need to get back to shooting my 40 cal pistol to keep it up. I haven't shot it for like a year. I'm afraid I'm gonna be rusty.

Heh, sound like you had a lot of fun.
Actually, for an HD weapon you cannot really go wrong with an MP15. It gets the job done, and using hollow points you stand less of a chance of it going through the intruder.
