Looking for free webcam software

Hi I am looking for free webcam software. I just recently bought a used Samsung laptop that I found lacking some as far as webcam software is concerned. I have one program on here but it doesn't take still pictures I want something that can take photos. I have a great digital camera but sometimes you just want to take a quick picture of something. I bought this laptop to replace a Dell Inspiron in another part of the house. The Dell has a program that can do videos and can take pictures as well as dress the picture up with frames. So I could always use the Dell but would rather not have to go and fetch it. I would rather not use any trial versions if I can avoid it. Thank you for your help!

I use YAWCAM (yet another web cam)

it lets you join chats etc, take pictures and sets up an http server to enable you to live stream to people if you give them your external IP address (and make firewall changes etc)
