I have installed my operating system onto an SSD and just a few programs that I want running on it.
My plan was to then setup a second drive strictly for data as so many people have, as I just built my new rig and intend to be playing MANY games so I need the extra storage...... BUT the second drive is not showing up anywhere for me to format, it shows up in the BIOS as a SATA device and under the boot options as a boot device..... but I need to format it to use it and I can't find anywhere to do so!!!

Someone help!

Thanks!!

I swear if I forgot to do that I will shoot myself.

The story is that I had a different drive originally but the one I was shipped was defective so I am going into this a bit annoyed already! Will report back in a few minutes

Alright, this time I set it as MBR and am getting a "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)"

Think I should give GPT a shot?

Thing is it is a brand new drive, nothing is on it yet.
Havent even been able to format it to use it with my system

That error means that the data doesn't match the 'directory' of files, there's no partition(s). As above, format it (quick works fine).
