Keyboard Swap

Can anyone advise me on an issue.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 laptop which has a US keyboard so I miss out on things like the euro sign and backslash, as well as the @ sign and " being reversed.

I was considering swapping out the US keyboard and installing a UK keyboard (it seems to be a simple job). The keyboards look the same physical size, but I'm not sure if they are interchangable or if there is some technichal difference that makes it not possible to do what I'm proposing.

Is there anyone out there who can advise me.

Surely there is just an option but the language settings to change from English US to English UK.

But none the less I doubt there is any technical difference that would prevent use. Just don't take my word for it.

Thanks for that Mossiac.

I'm already using English UK language within Windows 7 - it's just the keyboard layout that's US.

I thought (like you) that it would be a simple matter of changing the keyboard but it's been sugested to me that it's not possible. I was just looking for a more definitive answer.
