Read only files - VPN connection

Hi all,

Recently set up a VPN connection to access the shared drive at work from my Macbook at home.

Whenever I go to open my Microsoft Excel files, it shows them as 'Read only'

I know they are not open elsewhere, as I am the only one to use these files.

Can anyone help me to get this sorted?

Have you checked that they are not set to read only in the properties??

Have you tried disabling Protected View in Excel?
