hello all, am looking to upgrade my computer system an could use some help on deciding what parts to get..

I want to upgrade my motherboard, cpu an graphics card.. The only thing i really do is convert an burn movies an i play online games from time to time. I want a build that i can do those smoothly with out any problems an something still solid if i do decide to venture into into other stuff.... I am on a budget of 350 Usd, Could you guys give me a nice solid build with that budget please:hide::hide:

Ok we will need to know what the specs of your system are first to help recommend parts..

this is a gateway dx4710.. I have plans to keep the tower an change everything inside of it.. From my understanding the tower is just a case an once you get the right board it should work.. all i know is i got a atx board:lol:

Ok download and run this http://filehippo.com/download_speccy, Take a screenshot and upload here.

I would recommend since all you would be keeping is the case, to just build a complete new PC instead of using the old case. As well as the new Z97 motherboards just came out, so you should defiantly go with one of those.

As well as the new Haswell refresh came out a couple of days ago, so you should use one of those.

Let me link everything that I'm talking about.

Motherboard- Newegg.com - ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

CPU- Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-4690 Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600 BX80646I54690

Here is some very high quality RAM that would look very sexy with the motherboard I choose.

RAM- Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMY8GX3M2A1600C9A

Later we will talk about all the other parts, but I have to go for now.

Yes I must agree, You could upgrade the ram to 4GB but other than that everything looks good. Do a new build and keep that as a spare.
