geforce 7600gt 8x agp

hi everyone, i have an abit ai7 865pe motherboard and i wanted to upgrade the video card i currently have an nvidia geforce 7300gt and was wondering if the motherboard will run the geforce 7600gt.. i just wanted to make sure it does before i spend any money buying it . any advice would be nice.

Why waste the money? AGP is ancient. I would build a whole new computer.

yes i am building another computer but i just wanted to upgrade this old one as much as i can..it still runs good so i was gonna give it to my bro

Turns out that it is. This is the best card you can get for AGP. I had no idea AMD made AGP cards as recently as the 4xxx series.

It's not worth wasting your money on upgrading an old system like this, You wouldn't be able to run newer games of course and the performance wouldn't be very good.
