:facepalm:Ok, I've got his Dell Optiplex 745 tower with the two USB ports to the front. I did a clean installation and reinstalled the drivers. Now this is where the problem occurs; when I insert a new USB flash drive I get a prompt for the installation software that came with the USB drive, it searches the flash drive for it and when not found....it simply does not show that any USB device is present:confused: - I've tried this with several flash drives but no solution

Please Help

Well you could try this. plug in your USB thumb drive but don't click on anything.

Click start>Then right click my computer> scroll down to manage and click that.

When the window pops open> click on devise manager.

From there locate your USB thumb drive and select uninstall. After it uninstalls,Then pull out your USB thumb drive.

Now plug back in your USB thumb drive, and your computer should detect it and automatically install the drivers for it.

Hope that helps..

Make sure all drivers are up to date and try putting it in a rear usb port
