This may seem like I'm having a conversation with myself, but this will probably be my last post on this, purely because I've solved my problem, although the wrong cpu came, I went into a shop that sells old computers and retro consoles and asked if they had anything, he pulled an old computer from the back and luckily, it had a socket 478 p4 cpu in, shame I had to downgrade to a 2ghz, but now I know that's definitely the only problem, I can easily get another 3.2ghz, the computer is now working, although the agp graphics card doesn't so I'll have to get one of them, case closed, and again thanks to everyone that's helped! next step after upgrading this from 512mb to 2gb ram, the 775 build!
