So for an exercise in a powerpoint for class I am trying to reset a whole group of users passwords using the DSMOD command in CMD. When I run it just does nothing but when I make a batch script it keeps on going down the lists just repeating what I told it to do but it doesn't appear to be doing anything.

The syntax is dsmod user -pwd Password -disabled No.
 
Ok whilst on the topic of this, Can some explain what the OU is, Google and Technet don't explain it..

Never mind, Found it out..

To create a universal group named accounting in an organizational unit (OU) named Departments in a domain named northwindtraders.com, type:
dsadd group cn=accounting,ou=departments,dc=northwindtraders,dc=com –scope u
 
Ya. It's basically like a folder in ad that let's put objects into. User accounts. Computer accounts. Security groups.

I figured that ou needed to Hobart, I've been trying to finish this exercise for the last 2 lessons and those small mistakes were stopping me :\
