Hi Everyone
Apologies if this question sounds slightly obvious or stupid but just want to check before i spend any money. I am looking at upgrading my existing computer which i built a few year back and am looking at using the below parts, can anyone please advise if these parts will work together i.e. are compatible, is this a good combination or would you recommend some other part to replace an item which may perform better. Finally do i need anything else:
My proposed set up would be:
CPU - Intel Core i5 4570
Motherboard - Asus Z87K or M or Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 (which one is better)
Harddrive - Seagate SSHD 7200rpm 2tb
Memory - Kingstone hyper genesis 2 x 4gb (or should i go for 2 x 8gb)
I have a 400w corsair power supply at present do i need to go bigger & if so what do you recommend.
I mainly use the system for work, playing movies, downloading etc. My main criteria is a system that will run fast with plenty of storage.
