PS3 Problem (video attached) :)

I got my friend's PS3 that starts up for a second or so, beeps, the blue light turns on for a split second then the red light flashes. Before this I know that there was some overheating issues, so I opened it up and cleaned it (caked with dust) and now it is super clean inside!

I have seen this problem before all I can say is that you need to get yourself some thermal paste and re apply it if not I am sorry to say your ps3 is broken

DoHHH Yellow light of death, I've gotten it 2 times there is no hope of it ever working unless you take it in for repairs ($120ish at sony) or open it yourself and thermal paste it like rowcon suggested.


Those bulky ps3 are notorious for this problem.

Its sounds like it could be a bad solder i recomemd upgrading to the slim or ultra slim model though the slim is prefered
