Hi, this is kinda a speculation post more than anything and Im not even sure what I am asking yet, I will make this up as I go along XD.
I plan on in hopefully this side of the year aka withing 3-6mounths, depending on when I manage to get a job, build a HIGH end PC for gameing and a bit of everything maby.
However this year both intels next gen "broadwell" I serris is due as is DDR4 Ram, However I was wondering if its not realsed before I have the funds should I go ahead and build a PC anyways, or should I wait for all the price drops in current tech as they phase in new stuff, or just buy the new stuff?
Basicly I am wondering three or four main things.
1) How long will it take untill we see next gen hardware for consumers like you and me.
2)Will it be backwards compatible with current hardware like will DDR4 work with current DDR3 motherbords?
3)Will they relase this stuff more or less at the same time, and also will it be realsed at the same time as the mortherbored for it, I would imagine so as I cant see them releasing Boradwell and DDR4 without haveing motherboreds ect ect ready for it.
3a) Will it be worth buying when it comes out, aka maby I should wait for it to saturate the market better so I have a choich, and not just from the one MFG that has it for sale. (Think ram here as not all MFGs will have DDR4 ready at the same time???)
4) Are we going to see HUGHE price hikes as its "new" or will it take the same or just slightly higer price than current top end components and everything else will get cheaper?
5)Just what sort of diffrence in CPU power are we talking, or is it not really gonna be much a big thing??? AKA is it even worth buying.
6) What next in line for grahpics cards, I Know Nivada are going to relaese a Double chipped 780TI card, with 10GB RAM!! OMG!!!, and they also have plans to release a Titan Black eddition wich will just be a 780Ti card but with more ram.
But where do we go from there?? I dont undersrtand grahics cards at all really but I understand they have maxed out there current chips or something and will need a new acritecture or something??
Any reading or links on any of this is much aprreciated I am still a noob at all this stuff but it dose intrest me a lot.
As I have asked so much could you please just answer the parts you can as not all will be able to answer it all anyways and theres a lot so it would be confusing so can you please put it in bullet points with the related question so I now what you are talking about thanks.\
so yhea this is kinda a odd Question with no spersficics I just wan to know all your thoughts on the next / newest hardware and whats next ect ect
Thank you all!
