HAF 922 replace windows with fan?

Hi, I have a HAF 922 case, but the side has a window and not a fan, my main board and graphics card is quite hot still after much messing around to improve airflow, even though it has improved slightly, and I was wondering if the window can be replaced with a side fan, and would it help keep my main board and graphics card cooler? there was another version of my face with a mesh at the side instead I'm starting to wish I got, but I just checked, and I can remove the window, I also noticed there's also a space for a pretty large fan at the bottom of the case
