Virtual Machines and Screen Recording

Hi all,

New to the forum. I'm trying to screen record some things on my Macbook Pro w 8 G of RAM but I usually run Parallels the virtual machine. Whenever I do try recording my Parallels screen using software on my Mac, it lags a lot.

I was wondering what would cause this?

It could be a numbering of things. How much resources such as ram has the virtual machine got?
Video recording software can be very demanding and you've got a virtual machine running so it wouldn't be running very fast.

thanks for the reply man. The VM has 4G of ram and the other part is the other 4G of ram

Is there any thing that I can do to my computer to make it not lag as much while screen recording and running a VM?

One possible solution would be to add more RAM to the VM. Though have you looked into what is using the RAM?
