For anybody just stumbling upon this thread, the answer was the driver. Never install the latest drivers (Most of the time, they are in Beta..) also, never install them from NVidia website directly, rather install them from the GeForce site (Because my card was manufactured by MSI, not NVidia, so maybe that was the issue). Atleast thats what worked for me.
