I recently bought a GTX 780 and was wondering if using a gtx460 as a physx card would be pointless, I don't want to obsolete the card I have it sitting on my desk from my old build. WOuld it be beneficial to use? or better to let the 780 just standalone, I have the power supply for it so I know I could run both. :ermm:

i personally would not use it due to extra power use, noise and heat.
the 780 is already an amazing card, it should handle physx just fine even in high demanding games.

Alright, so don't bother? ehh guess I'll throw it back in my old build.
Thanks

No problem.
Also most games does not have Nvidia physX support. that's yet another reason not to.
so it's really just gonna be an extra big hardware that does nothing most the time.
