Hello, my brotner bought the hp pavilion g7 whit 2gb amd graphic card, intel i5 2, 5 ghz and 4gn ram. And i was expecting beter preformance. He plays minecraft at 30 fps o_0. My acer aspire has 1gb nvidia, i3 2, 3 ghz and 6 gb ram and it is even faster then the hp. Is there anything that he can do to make his laptop any faster i gaming?

just because the laptop has on paper 2gb of Video RAM, it might not be better then a laptop that has 1gb of Video RAM.
When i say "on paper" i mean that it's properly shared with the Main RAM, and not it's own VRAM.
A Graphic card can use it's own VRAM but also take some of the systems main RAM.
You need to look at the dedicated Video RAM spec.

It might just be a software issue though.
Have you tried to disable virtual sync?
this might be the issue. some games doesn't utilize Vsync properly.

Also are you sure you are not using the inbuild GPU in the Core i5?
