Javascript keeping looping images from responding to ctrl+?

When I open this page

NWS radar image from Duluth, MN

the radar image nearly fills the screen.

However, when I open this page (same as above, but as a loop)

NWS radar image loop of Composite Reflectivity from Duluth, MN

the radar image covers just a small portion of the screen.

Ctrl + and - affect the size of the radar image on the first page, but on the second page they affect the rest of the page but NOT the looping radar image.

I believe that Javascript is required for the looping image.

Is Javascript the culprit that is keeping the looping image small? Is there a way to fix this problem, and make the looping image respond to ctrl+ ?

Yes the NOAA website needs java to run right. Get it from the Oracle website seeing as they own it now. Download Free Java Software

And FYI, Java and javascript are two separate critters.

However, the question remains:

Is there a way I can make the looping radar image larger? It seems Java is keeping me from doing that.

Not really unless you change the percentage of the viewing area in the browser tools. or just click on the radar image itself and it zooms in.
If you notice in the list on the left side there is a national map. Click on the loop setting. When it goes to that screen you'll see right on top of the map a link to make it full sized. Just use the scroll bars to navigate around.
