Browser Extensions

note that i said "no plugins will ever care about what you are doing (unless you have downloaded some kind of spyware)"
the qclean remove facebook adds properly need the info to function. otherwise it's a spyware.

my auto HD for youtube extension permissions literally says "it can access your data on all websites"
just download extensions via rthe chrome store and you should be safe.

If they want all your data on all sites... it's because they're recording all your data on all sites. Just because it's available in the Chrome store doesn't mean it has passed any sort of test other than a submission and debug.

New research from security specialists Bitdefender suggests that as many as one third of free Android apps access and upload your private data (including your phone number) to third parties.

Bro, I work in data so I know this is happening because I write software programs that query the data, package it then upload it to various clients. I'm also in school for information security, meaning I (somewhat) know how to spot this crap and know just how easy and profitable it is to do this kind of crap. I'm not posting this to start a fight or scare people, but I would hope that something on a site that I'm lucky enough to help manage wouldn't cause people to become even more compromised than they likely already are.

Did you try that test or are you just taking those extension's good intentions on faith?

i did try the commend.
i get what you are saying, but i just wanted this tread to be about ideas for new plugins to try out.
most extensions really don't mean you any harm and it should be fairly safe downloading from the chrome store because google keeps watch over it so bad stuff gets removed. ofcause it isn't 100% safe... but tell me, what is 100% safe online?

you can also find my name + sub and last name + phone number in a phone book.
i am on a site called "krak.dk" kinda like a danish online phonebook. not really harmful to me.

i know personal date can mean more things, but 33% of android apps doesn't steal pictures of my dog and copy text messages from my grandmother
