Questions about my first gaming pc build

Here's my upcoming first gaming build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard: Asus P8H77-I Mini ITX LGA1155

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM

GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB

Case: BitFenix Prodigy (Red) Mini ITX Tower

PSU: Corsair 430W ATX12V

My two major concerns:

-Don't know about my ssd or optical drive yet. Since I have a copy of windows 7 on a disk, should I buy an optical drive and install it on that?

-Will this build run Battlefield 3 on ultra (at least keeping above 40fps)

P8H77-I - Motherboards - ASUS

That is not a gaming board. I saw it was boasting about data transfer speeds but not a peep about gaming. IMO that board is good for a HTPC or a kiosk display.
If this is your first build you need to rethink it.

The DOA and failure rate make that board questionable at the least.
