Hi all. Thank you ALL so very much for all of the replies 
. Because of so many GREAT replies I've made up my mind to stick with what I know best.....Windows 7. First of all I wouldn't be using a touchscreen at all and aside from the interface if there are not really any differences then I won't switch. As they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". 
Also I didn't even THINK about networking and wireless. That would probably mess me up as I use Teamviewer quite often to help out friends & family.
I'm ordering a Dell XPS 8700 (I believe thats the number) tower. I've had a
Dell XPS17 Laptop for a few years now and I LOVE it so I'm hoping it's as good for the desktop as well.
