PC Case front panel cable problems

Hey anyone,

I have been having trouble with my new case I installed, everything was fine until I started installing the front panel pins, all of them worked apart from the power button cable, I plugged it onto the pins required, and it didn't switch on. So I reversed the cable round, no effect. After this I plugged it onto some pins labeled 'F PANEL', and powered it on, and it immediately sprung to life. After switching it off once however the button ceased to work, I then moved the cable to a different set of pins on the same group of pins, and it worked, but yet again it didn't work after shutdown.. Any suggestions? I feel like I've tried everything..

You need to look at your mobo manual to see the layout for the panel and wire it right.

Case- Sharkoon Rex8 Economy

This is where my motherboard tells me to plug the pins in, but to get the pc to power up, I have to plug it into a set of 6 beside it.
