Bad sectors?

No...
Bad sectors get locked out from being used because they can no longer do what they were designed to do. Chkdsk /r runs a scan and if bad sectors are found they are locked out. Plus repair bad system files it finds.
Bad sectors can come from normal wear on the platter, factory defects, abuse such as dropping the drive. If you're getting a lot of bad sectors on scans then it might be prudent to consider replacing the drive. RMA if under warranty.

If the drive is in an enclosure take it out and plug into your computer and then boot up and download a program called recuva which is very simple and easy to use. This should be able to recover your data.

will recuva also safe date from bad sectors?
i have used it to recover deleted files. worked like a charm.

I dont see my hard drive on there I tried unplugging it and plugged it back in still nothing. Is there another way or another software?
