Aug 1, 2013 #4 chris, did you run the scanner bk posted? that scanner will tell you what is compatible with you pc, if it says you can run 2gb at 800mhz, then you can. you would remove the 512mb and sell it on, and slip in the faster memory. Click to expand... No, I couldn't run the scanner. I clicked on the page and and it seemed like it was loading and then I got a page error. My computer is old and slow.

Click to expand... A couple of weeks ago I did a system restore on my computer, so it deleted all my old stuff and reset the computer to factory settings. I don't know If need to run that program right now.
