Transporting a PC, precautions?

Hi, I will be transporting my PC about 500 miles (Around 8-10hrs) and was wondering what precautions I need to take. My main worry is static. Is static a big worry, or will the metal casing diffuse any static build up? I'm planning on leaving all the components in, I have a small heatsink, so I don't need to worry about that coming loose, and I believe my GTX 660 will be ok. I have the box the computer came in, and the Styrofoam to hold it in place. I also have a kind of soft plastic bag the case came in that I could wrap it in but I wasn't sure if that would cause static and damage the case. So what do you guys think and do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Just stay away from the 19 mile bridge over Lake Pontchartrain. That rollercoaster masquerading as a bridge will test any packing scheme you have. And give you whiplash at the same time.
