External Blue-ray drive is not working

Hi,
I have a Acer Laptop and an External blue-ray drive, i'm using power dvd 10 software and every time I put a blue-ray disc in the drive it starts to load, then it comes up saying to eject the disc and sometimes it doesn't read it at all.
Can someone help me with this issue please

Yeah the only thing that came up was a power dvd 10 compatibility update for windows 8 which is what I have but that didn't fix it.

There is a patch you may need to download SBW-06D2X-U - Optical Drives - ASUS, Download the right one for what ever version of Windows 8..

The only patch I can see is the Power DVD one and I have done that one

Hmmm USB 2.0 for a blue ray drive? And powered off the USB port. Hmmm again.
Sounds like it's not acknowledging the HDCP keys. If the chain is broken somewhere along the way it won't work.
I'd get up with ACER.

Shouldn't I take it to Asus since it's their product?
