Changing Computers Name

Hi,

Just wondering if there is actually a way to change a computers username. I know how to change the name from 'Advanced System Settings' but the name that is annoying me that is yet to change is the name you see in when you create a shortcut or view folders etc.

For example 'C:\Users\NAME\Desktop'

That name has not changed. Is it possible for it to change?

You could change the logon name relatively easily by going into the User Accounts control panel. If you want to change the name of the folder under C:\Users, then you would have to create a new account and migrate your files and settings over to the new profile.
