Hi, I want a computer that would be able to play games at a decent quality, edit videos, stream (not important, but would be nice), and use labor intensive programs like CAD and Solidworks.

As of right now im planning on building this AMD FX-6300, PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 XT, Rosewill Challenger-U3 - System Build - PCPartPicker (This is my first time building a computer so I'm unsure if all the parts are compatable)
but for around the same price, i could get this Amazon.com: Lenovo IdeaCentre K430 Desktop: Computers & Accessories

Which one is better?

I would go with the custom build you made.

no doubt the custom rig is better. especially for gaming.
