I plan to build a filer server. Here is what I have so far. I'm not sure if all my parts are compatible, nor do I know how to check. I believe they are from inspection, but I really don't know. (All prices are canadian)

OS: Debian (because I like unix like, or unix operating systems)

I put 4GB of ram and a good processor just in case I plan to use as an auxiliary computer for torrenting or something. Too much?

Why do you need the pci 1x cards? That motherboard already has a 1Gb connection and hooking up that plus wireless just seems silly as the hard-wire will out-perform the wireless.

Well I want 2 ethernet ports. With the wifi, yea ur completely right that was stupid.

Some higher end boards have 2 ethernet ports. Out of curiosity, may I ask why you want 2?

One to connect to my router used for LAN Network. The other to connect to my other router to connect to the internet.
