Hello, while I was away from home a friend of mine got rid of all the dust in my computer. He told me he used a wet piece of paper and used that to clean my GPU. Everything is still working, but I'm a little worried if it could have damaged my GPU. Am I safe or should I prepare myself for the death of my video card?

EDIT: He cleaned the chips with the piece of paper too.

As a rule, I would keep anything that is even slightly moist as far away from the guts of my computer as possible.

Obviously he meant well but had no clue. If your case has a place for a padlock I'd put a small luggage lock on it. Next time you might not be so lucky.
Canned air and a small horse hair brush is all that gets in mine.

A wetpiece of paper? I don't mean to be rude but does your friend have any real knowledge of PCs?

As seti said, a can of air and a horsebrush is all that is needed.
