First gaming pc build...are my parts compatible?

How do I know if all the parts for my gaming PC is compatible with eachother?
Hi, I have recently taken an interest into building my own gaming PC. However, I'm confused by all the technical terms for the parts that I have gathered for my PC. I would like to know whether these parts I have gathered can function together or not. I'm welcome to suggestions about better parts for my PC build as well as a bit of education about the parts I have chosen. Any answers will be accepted, thanks! (Note: please notify me if I'm missing any parts for my PC)

I would recommend a small SSD for boot drive, it really makes your computer faster. No lag. Seagate HD for games.

Only 1GB videocard? I would go for 2GB, especially if you're running at higher resolutions

also those TX corsairs are not in the same class as the HX. If you can afford the HX try and go for one of those. Longer warranty also

Thanks for replying. I know what accessories (mouse, keyboard) I'll be getting. Though regarding the sound card, it only produces better sound. Since I'm gaming and not producing music, is it necessary to have a sound card?

in that case you don't need a sound card. the sound are not gonna be better anyway.
you need to equalize the sound to optimize your speakers.

you say that you are a gamer.
in that case you need a better graphic card. the 7770 is a low end card not really meant for modern gaming.
