Problematic Hard Drive

Please help, my hard drive doesn't appear to work. The drive produced neither noise nor any indication of obvious activity. In fact, the drive light on the PC case doesn't light up. Could it be a hard disk failure? If not, what could it be?

It could be failing, Follow this guide http://www.computerforums.org/forum...ble-usb-disk-seagate-seatools-dos-220196.html and run the software and then take a picture and upload it.

Check power and data connections on both ends of the cable. If not seated all the way down heating and cooling off can cause a connector to work lose.
