NAS Advice?

I've currently got a DNS-323 with 2x Seagate barracuda drives (1tb) in a RAID1 Array and i'm looking to upgrade to something that has:

• Raid Support
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Torrent Client
• Plays nicely with XBMC

I Was thinking a Synology DS212J but I havn't heard of the brand much, any other suggestions?

You can make your own for a lot less than you give for one of those prebuilts. Freenas software is just that, free.
Newegg has refurbished computer systems you can snag for peanuts. Trick it out like you want it and use the open source software.

Hmmm. That option completely slipped my mind!

My only concern with building a NAS myself is I need something to be completely silent. Can you get a PSU with Passive cooling?

You could look into installing ALT F for that NAS. I have the exact same unit, and with the open firmware you may be able to do all those with extra packages..
