The older goodies would only be of interest to a collector. The better shape the box is in the more you can ask for them.
But be cautious who you deal with. There's a lot of ripoff artists and scammers out there.

Well since the OP has yet to return, I'm assuming he's found his answer elsewhere. However, as far as what it's worth, it's hard to say. Unless their are rare console and/or games, most used stuff isn't really worth much (even the old stuff isn't worth much).

Disappointed by the lack of NES and SNES stuff though

...because between me and brothers, we somehow ended up with multiple versions of the same console. When we left home, we ended up buying again, and now they have no requirement for them, I have them in my cabinet I would love to say there different versions, but there not

I'm on the look out for NES/SNES gear, I've just received my Nintendo Scope! That takes me back a few years Following this will be the Atari Jag, Neo-Geo, 3DO and Sega MegaCD/32x - that ought to do it....
