I have a Acer Aspire 4330 and am wondering if I can upgrade to a new processor.

Specs:
Installed Memory-3.00 GB RAM
Processor-Genuine Intel(R) CPU 575 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
Operating System-Windows 7 32-Bit

Looking to upgrade to 2.6GHz for gaming.... Thanks!

Thanks!... I am not very techy but it doesn't say the celeron is my processor? It's says it's the genuine intel one is? What's the difference?

It's an Intel name for a line of its CPU chips. It's really a P4 CPU with some of the functions disabled. No, you can't turn them back on.
I'd keep it and save up for something else. HP is a good line. Lots of bang for the buck.

Re: Can i get a new processor

As Setishock has said with laptops you cannot replace the CPU as it soldered onto the motherboard, You would be better off either buying a new a laptop or just building your own customized gaming pc as laptops are not particularly designed for gaming but higher end laptops can and your laptop is fairly old and doesn't have much potential for upgrades, The only things you could upgrade is the ram which is up to 2GB and your hard drive in capacity.
