Printer Network Help!

I assume if you plug it onto your broadband router that will have a DHCP server running, (whereas your computer did not) then the printer will get an IP address viaDHCP.

you can then connect to a web interface on the printer and set the address manually (to make sure it doesn't change).

once you've done this you'll have a printer that you can install on every computer in your house, and you don't have to use just one computer to print from, or swap cables about.
