Should I do a system Recovery?

I posted recently just below this post titled: " now this is a problem ". I've tried so many things to get this game going that I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and do a system recovery, backing up data before I do. If I do, I just want to know that I will be able to download the game like before.

Why do you insist on starting a new thread instead of continuing the current one? It makes it almost impossible for someone down the road who has experienced a similar problem to contribute.
