sorry no only the cpu fan, when i got this computer the clap to the heat sink was missing so i had to secure it down using a screw i think i need to get a new cpu fan and heat sink set.

how do you secure a heat sink with a screw?

the clamp was broken off, so i wedged a fat enough screw so it would secure the heat sink down i know i need to get a new heat sink and fan but it is tight and secure, i did notice there was not much thermal paste so do you think that could be the problem. sorry i can not take a picture i do not have a camera. when it comes to applying thermal paste would you just put a small dot onto the cpu only. i mean after you have clean the cpu and heat sink, i did see on the internet that you can use rubbing alcohol with q-tips or rubbing alcohol with coffee filters to clean off the old thermal paste. ok do you think cleaning off the out paste and putting new paste on will resolve the heating problem.
