Hello all,
I have been recently looking into installing ubuntu on my macbook (running lion) and am having a bit of trouble finding the full information I need.
I have created a USB stick with the installer on it, I booted from it once and it worked perfectly. I am stuck at getting the partition I need working. Many guides have said to use boot camp but it has since changed and will not partition the hard drive before it sees a windows instal CD.
This brought me to the other option, creating a partition with disk utility. I have been unable to find the information I need. I understand I can create a 20gb partition but do I need to use refit as a boot manager, can I not just hold option as is normally allowed on a mac to select a boot drive?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!
