BSOD running games

I have tested the temps and all are sub 40 idle and after running prime 95 they are still under 60 degrees.

One figure called "temp 3" is 127 degrees. However i think this must be an error as this figure does not fluctuate at all and even after a cold boot its the same every time.

I took a look with BSOD viewer and there are multiple BSOD and all have the following files in them.

amdk8.sys
halmacpi.dll
ntkrnlpa.exe

I think its related to the processor after looking around online.

What can i do to repair this constant issue.

Btw it only seems to happen when loading up a game.

I have reinstalled the graphics drivers aswell.

I think its the graphics card as sometimes i keep getting amd display driver has stopped working and has been recovered.

I have already tried uninstalling then installing the latest drivers.

The crashed game, does it have a dump?

You can probably find your ntkrnlpa.exe under Windows\System32. What is its "Date modified"? Is it significantly differently from the other files under System32?

date is the 11/12/2012 so fairly recent. Apart from one other "ntoskrnl.exe" these are some of the only 2012 dated files. Most are 2009.

Yep, there will be several copies of ntkrnlpa.exe. Please ignore most of them.

We are mostly interested in the one that sits under System32 -- we need to compare this one with the other files under System32 -- I suspect it has been modified (by a rogue software, for example), which causes the crash.

Thanks for the reply. I reinstalled os In the end. However running into more problems graphics wise now in regards to green lines appearing and then a message pops up saying the graphics driver crashed and has been recovered.

But no more bsod though.

Must be card prob as I have installed latest drivers and it was going it on windows xp the other week.

See my post in hardware.
