pen drive showing shortcut

from last week i got problem in my system is that when i try to open my pen drive it shows shortcut to my removable device it wont show my files then after i able to see my files. i am getting irritate for finding results on internet . i also scanned on several computers it wont show virus. please reply immediately.

There may be other quicker ways of doing this but my recommendation would be to download a Linux live CD: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD

Boot up using that and plug in your USB drive and see if you can access it this way.

Windows tends to be very restrictive on the files and things it will show you / allow you to access Linux is a lot more relaxed.
