I'm not very tech savvy and need help with this problem.
When I use some calling program like Skype, the person on the other end can listen to whatever audio file is running on my pc even when my mic is disconnected from the pc and only the headphones are conneced so I can hear them talking and they can read what I'm typing to them on Skype. They can hear the audio say, music, whatever I have open in a media player and ofc they can't listen to what I'm saying because I disconnected the mic.
Pc is Dell Optiplex 745, Core 2 Duo 1.8 ghz, 2 gb ram, 160 gb hdd, os windows xp sp 2
